Callie, the 1973 VW Photo Bus

Callie is a real 1973 Volkswagen Bus with a second career as a photo booth. She rolls up, parks where you want her, and spends the whole event doing what she does best: making everyone who steps inside look like they belong on an album cover from her first decade on the road.

A genuine 1973 original, not a lookalike

Plenty of events rent a backdrop painted to look vintage. Callie skips the pretending. She was built in 1973, and every curve, badge, and stubborn charm mark is the real thing. We converted her into a working photo booth without sanding away her personality, so the retro warmth your guests feel in the photos is not a filter. It is fifty years of character showing up on time.

That authenticity changes how people behave around her. Guests do not just pose. They lean on her, laugh with her, and treat her like the most interesting attendee at the party.

She parks indoors or curbside

Callie is surprisingly flexible for a lady her age. She can roll straight into a ballroom or lobby and hold court indoors, or she can post up at the curb and greet guests as they arrive. Either way, the photos happen inside her and all around her: friends piled onto her bench, couples framed in her doorway, groups gathered at her nose.

Every session ends the way a photo booth should, with prints in hand and digital copies delivered, so the night travels home in pockets and camera rolls alike.

Where Callie has already clocked in

Callie keeps a working calendar that most vintage buses would envy. She has parked at Terranea Resort, starred at an AEG Presents event at Empire Grand Oasis, and fit right into a 70s-inspired Palm Springs wedding, which felt less like a booking and more like a homecoming.

She has done corporate duty too, posing for a Zeiss event at Omni Rancho Las Palmas. Weddings, brand gatherings, resort celebrations: she treats each one like a headline show.

Why a bus instead of a box

A standard photo booth is furniture. Callie is a guest of honor. From the moment she is in position, people drift toward her, phones already out, before the official photos even start. She gives your event a centerpiece, a conversation starter, and a photo experience in one parking spot.

If your celebration deserves more personality than a curtain and a kiosk, Callie would like to meet you.
